The journey back to yourself isn’t always easy.
What an amazing week it has been. Lots of inspirational moments and insights since I posted last week. When I felt called to write this book, even though there are countless self-help books out there. My hope is that this book connects with you because it comes from a place of love, honesty & experience.
I say it as it is. No fluff, no jargon. Just clear, simple truths and practical steps to make life easier.
My wish is that this book I am writing is used as a companion when you feel stuck or not sure. To remind you it’s okay to not be okay, just keep moving forward towards the light. Because even in the dark moments, the light has never left you. It’s always been within you just waiting to come out.
The journey back to yourself isn’t always easy. Some days, it can feel like Paula Abdul’s line in her song “Two steps forward and two steps back” But each small step matters. Every time you choose kindness over criticism, stillness over chaos, or self-compassion over self-doubt you are moving closer to your light.
Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting who you were. It means forgiving yourself and releasing the things you don’t like about yourself, or the things that hold you back from being the real you. Happiness isn’t found out there somewhere, it grows from within you, when you start doing the things that light you up.
This doesn’t mean fancy cars, expensive gifts, or exotic holidays. Don’t get me wrong, those things are lovely to have, but the feeling they bring is often short-lived. When you start trusting yourself again, when you choose to see the good, when you decide to go against your normal way of doing something. That’s when everything begins to shift.
So, keep going. Keep shining. And remember, you already have everything you need to find your way back to to being happy.
If you forgave yourself today for the things you hold onto, how might your world start to feel lighter?
Much love & light
