Rewriting the Story

The Moment You Stop Holding Yourself Back.

For so long, I believed my happiness depended on everything outside of me circumstances, people, luck, timing. If life was good, I felt good. If life was hard, I sank into the same exhausting patterns: overthinking, replaying the past, proving my own negative thoughts right.

I didn’t realise it at the time, but I was trapping myself in a story that wasn’t even true anymore.

Maybe you’ve done the same.

Maybe you’ve carried the same beliefs for so long that they feel like facts.
Maybe when something goes wrong, you instantly blame yourself.
Maybe you assume the worst before anyone has even said a word.

Those patterns become familiar, even comforting in a strange way, because they’re what we’ve always known. But familiar doesn’t mean healthy.

And here’s the shift that changed everything for me:

You don’t break the cycle by fighting the darkness, you break it by understanding it.

Understanding why a certain comment triggers you.
Why you shrink yourself in certain rooms.
Why you replay the hurt instead of the hope.
Why you keep choosing what hurts over what heals.

Once you start uncovering your “why,” the cycle begins to lose its power.
You see yourself differently.
You respond differently.
You begin to breathe again.

And slowly, gently, you realise…

You were never broken.
You were simply believing an outdated story.

Your happiness hasn’t disappeared it’s waiting for you to rewrite the next chapter.

So ask yourself today:

What story have I been telling myself, and am I ready to choose a new one?

Because the moment you decide to stop holding yourself back…
everything begins to change.

Much love & light
